Route Suggestions

We are constantly trying out new routes so that we have the widest range to offer the widest choice to suite varying abilities and requirements. Having ridden them all we also to grade them, we also ask for your feedback on your return and we adjust the ratings accordingly. So, you can be sure of good advice and of course this means the most enjoyable and rewarding cycling adventure.

Coast to Coast - Yarmouth to Freshwater Bay along the Old Railway Line, visit Dimbola Lodge Photographic Museum, then over Downs to enjoy stunning panoramic views of the Island and Mainland. Then to Newtown, the main port on the Island until it silted up and was ransacked by Napolean. Visit the Elizabethan Town Hall, walk Ancient Woodland  and the beautiful Estuary teaming with birdlife, returning by quiet country lanes to Yarmouth.

Freshwater Flyer - Yarmouth to Freshwater Bay along the Old Railway Line, visit Dimbola Lodge Photographic Museum, then over Downs with the most fantastic views across the Solent and the Island then the decent to Shalcombe returning by quiet country lanes to Yarmouth.Our most popular route

Eye of the Needles - Yarmouth to Freshwater Bay along the Old Railway Line, visit Dimbola Lodge Photographic Museum, then off to the Needles via Farringford (the former home of Tennyson), walk to the summit of Tennyson Down for awesome Island and Solent views before jumping on your bike again for the visit to the Needles. Enjoy the Park, including the famous coloured sands, walk to the gun battery and the rocket testing site before returning to Yarmouth on quiet roads and bridleways.
