Take a Break
Have a Green Break on the Isle of Wight

Green & Wight Cycling Holidays
Worried about your Carbon footprint or would you simply like to try a different type of holiday or break? Well here at Wight Cycle Hire we are launching a new range of environmentally friendly holidays. We are starting with the simple concept that you leave the car behind. This can be behind at home, using public transport to arrive at one of the many ferry ports serving the Island, or just park at one of the ports and jump on board.

Our Green Break Partners

The Really Green Holiday Company
http://www.thereallygreenholidaycompany.co.uk/

Providing high quality environmentally friendly holidays in comfortable yurts and bell tents. The site forms part of award-winning Afton Apple Orchard in beautiful Freshwater and the location for the (in)famous 1970's Isle of Wight Festivals. Located approximately 2 miles from the Yarmouth Ferry Terminal it is easily accessed via the Yarmouth to Freshwater Cycleway. This is a green camping holiday with a difference- having real beds, floors and furniture, and are really green. These holidays are as environmentally friendly as we can possibly make them, without compromising on comfort.

From April 2008, we have 3 beautiful yurts and 2 cosy bell tents available on either a self catering or bed and breakfast basis. The Apple Orchard is a level, quiet and peaceful site with spacious individual areas, in the heart of one of the most beautiful parts of the West Wight close to Freshwater Bay and the River Yar. If you want to come for a festival or event like Skandia Cowes Week, or just to escape and enjoy our unique Island holidays, we can tailor a package for your needs.
